Christmas Kitty died tonight. January 30th, 2008. He gave us many years of love and companionship. In fact the vet told me their records say he came to their office for the first time in 1988. The vet came to our home and euthanized him here, then laid him on the floor so the other animals could come and see what was going on or what had just happened. She took him with her to be cremated and returned to us. She went above and beyond the call of duty. We will miss our Christmas Buddy.
It is like a slice of heaven in my apt. I am serious. I had peace the minute I walked in after the euthanization. So I started checking emails and ate my bowl of ice cream and answered some emails and then out of no where started singing "Amazing Grace" No kidding...So I just let it keep coming...and singing.. Do you think Angels came for him? Or is he here and saying thank you, I was so sick. Peace is all about. I asked my daughter Lins if she had this peace and she said YES....she said it feels like we don't have any problems. I agreed 190% with that statement. Strange and good all at once. If I had to put it in words.......light, LIGHT, bright light, soft, clouds, morphine before surgery, clean rain, no evil, lavishly rich, no needs, cool fountain on a hot day, splashing, love, velvet, clear bubbles, fresh air, oxygen from God, healing, flourishing cells, the smell of a new car, a warm blanket, the sun on new fallen snow, pansies, a beating heart, Life, your soft fur, your soft purr, your loyalty. Truth, blue eyes, a diamond, an old spirit, a young one, all adds up to "Peace that Passeth Understanding." Thank You "Christmas Buddy!" Or the Angels that came for you and left us with not only your memory but a gift of Peace from that memory that will last us forever.
