A Calm, Peaceful Thanks-Giving Day

So today is turkey day. The day we give thanks which is backwards....frontwards is Thanksgiving Day or is that backwards? It was a great day...little girls mashing potatoes, people playing cards, top picture is Karsyn taking a pie order from Papa Joe....Then family friend Stephen stops in before he heads over to meet more of his family, then flies back to Arizona....
Stephen swoons the ladies, big and small, young or old....he has that special smile and gentleness
everyone enjoys....he plays cards, he entertains the youngin's, has a great sense of humor, and he poses like a gayrod on the sofa, no shock to Chad. (see photo below)

I was glad to get a photo of Grandma Dorothy with her two Granddaughters. Grandma is 96 years young....

And as you scroll down you will see Chad, my son, playing Robin Hood after dinner with a napkin on his head!

Then there is PaPa Joe sound asleep in the office after dinner....

Then there is Chad and one of the twins enjoying a loving moment.

Then there is Chad and that twin sound asleep on the office sofa after Papa Joe woke up and wondered out..

Grandma Dorothy, age 96, Kim and Tamara

Papa Joe down for the count

Robin Hood the morning after. (I guess Chad overdid on the drink last evening to say the least they say)
No politics, no disagreements, nothing all those "other" families have. LOL... Cody was missed but he had a nice meal with friends. Chris was missed but he drove a few hours to see his best friend in from Afghanistan. Then he drove hours back to push the snow button for a magic show in Las Vegas he is working every day....
We miss Daniel who we hope is well and had a decent meal also.
Our prayers were of Thanksgiving and blessings to those not with us. Briana and Danielle, the Granddaughters and nieces spent the day with their Mom and her boyfriend but we surely missed them. Nothing really funny or remarkable happened today. Isn't that great? I did take one tum on the way home and just now a Wal-zan which is Wal Mart generic for zantac made in China and I can only hope there isn't asphalt or paint, or melamine in them in which case heartburn would have a new meaning. And Grandma J. only tried to force feed one person today! And Grandpa J had his cataracts removed so he showed up without glasses and everyone was stumped as to the new face in town. Kim doesn't talk tooooooooo loud, but hey, it was great. She does dishes! The kids only had six altercations all reasonable. Me, I held it to a minimum of speaking, thinking, acting out, or even listening. That way there was no chance of any family troubles. Seriously, it truly was a nice afternoon with very nice people, after the others left... I said, just kidding!
